Grant Recipients
On August 28, 2025, Tahoe Ladies Social awarded three grants to the following amazing local organizations serving the Lake Tahoe Basin: Pet Network Community Hospital, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office H.E.R.O., and Sierra Community House. The Pet Network Community Hospital is a nonprofit veterinary hospital offering full service veterinary care to the people of Incline Village and surrounding communities. The H.E.R.O. Program (run by the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office) 2025 grant recipient stands for Human Exploitation and Recovery Operations. It’s a specialized unit within the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office focused on combating human trafficking and exploitation in the region. 2025 grant recipient, Sierra Community House, is a nonprofit community service organization based in the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee region that works to support local individuals and families through a range of social and human services. The organization’s mission is to connect and empower the community by offering family strengthening, crisis intervention, hunger relief, and legal services — all aimed at helping people thrive, build resilience, and enhance well-being. https://sierracommunityhouse.org/

On September 23, 2024, the Tahoe Ladies Social President, Kimberly Thesman, presented one of the donations to the amazing ladies of Awaken. The Tahoe Ladies Social also proudly presented donations to the Tahoe Community Nursery School, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office H.E.R.O program, and 3Strands Global Foundation. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for what you do for our community! Our goal is to empower our community, keep it safe, support those who are under served with a special focus on women and children.
